Overview

Bostancı is a well-known district in the Anatolian Side of Istanbul, located at the eastern end of the district of Kadıköy, along the history of the city. This neighborhood, which is responsible for the bonds and gardens of the padişaha during the Ottoman period, was a derbent (karakol) point where the entrance outlets were controlled to Istanbul for centuries. Where?

Bostancı is connected to the district of Kadıköy, Suadiye and Kozyatağı in the west, İçerenköy, connected to the district of Maltepe in the east, is neighboring with Altıntepe. Bostancı was a point that was known as "Poleatikon" during the Byzantine period and met in the time of the emperors.
