Karabekir Pasha Museum

Kâzım Karabekir Pasha Museum is a private museum opened in 2005 in his house in Istanbul Kadıköy Erenköy, which was opened in 2005. The museum is operated by Kâzım Karabekir Foundation, founded by Pasha’s family and serves at the supervision of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

From Zürafalı Kiosk to Museum: Building's Juju

The building hosted by the museum is Sultan II in the late 19th century. Abdulhamid’s Maarif Nazırı (Training Minister) was built in wood to the Italian architect and sculptor Badge by Antepli Münif Tahir Pasha. Among the people due to the huge timid sculpture in the garden "Zürafalı Kiosk" it was understood, due to the fact that the sculpture is removed in storms over time "Perili Kiosk" lacquered.

Mansion by Karabekir Pasha 15 November 1930 purchased. Pasha lived here with his family without interruption until 1938; then moved to Ankara with the choice of Istanbul MPs and Chairman, continued to use in the summer holidays of the peninsula. He created a museum in the village of Pasha in which she exhibits his own personal belongings.

After the death of Pasha in 1948, the man who continues to be used by the family, in 1984, the daughter of Emel Karabekir Özerengin was closed with his death. Founded in 2002, Kâzım Karabekir Foundation opened its visit in October 1, 2005 by turning it into thekü museum.

Museum Collection and Sections

The interior of the museum, which was held with the concept of "wood house museum", was prepared in accordance with the original items, considering the era where the Pasha and its family lived here.

Bottom floor The living room of the family is the workroom and the admission hall of Pasha. Top floor The bedroom of Pasha and his wife İclal Hanım is located in the part of the room and clothing items exhibited by family photographs.

The important works exhibited in the museum include:

• Personal library, notes and study room of Kâzım Karabekir Pasha

• Uniform, weapons, medals and snow shoes used in the facade

• The keman symbolizing the bond of Pasha with art

• Winenel piece that hits the tent

• Karabekir portrait, gifted by Armenian orphas in Trabzon

• Memory photos and documents for family and term

• About 3.500 works in total (most books)

Transportation

Different options are available to reach the museum:

• Bus: From Taksim to 202 and 112 bus buss from Pendik to 17, Üsküdar.

• Dollen: Bostancı - Taksim chopped line available.

• Metrobus: After landing at the fountain stop, the minibus or taxi can be continued.

• Marmaray: After exiting the hill Nautilius, the minibus/bill can be taken.
